I have heard for many years that our institutions of learning tend to the liberal point of view. My personal observations with the grand kids and what they are told at school does nothing to dispel that assertion, but if our impressionable young people are bathed in liberalism on a daily basis for years why would approximately 50% of them turn out to be conservatives.

Liberal: Self interest rules.
Conservative: Reality intervenes.
Good answer. And, I see no reason that I cannot accept both the liberal and conservative answer as correct and compatible.
