The Affordable Care Act


I urge you to watch the news and recall the quote from Nancy Pelosi:

"We'll have to pass the bill, in order to find out what is in it."

    The web page issue is small potatoes. Someone or someones should be fired. I don’t know who but it would have to include Sebelius as the responsible party. Again the web page is simply incompetence, make the personnel changes and let’s move on.

    WRT insurance policies being canceled because they do not meet minimum standards (as divined by Obama and company). This issue was discussed repeatedly in the run up to passing the ACA. The footage that the media endlessly reruns is that of Obama saying if you like your policy you can keep your policy, PERIOD. In later discussions, prior to passing the bill, Obama qualified his remarks by saying you can keep your policy if it meets the minimum standards or if the policy is still offered. I am put off by the feigned indignation at the great discovery that policies are being canceled, and yes FOX new is the worst but not the only news station that just “discovered” this.

    I think Obama is very intelligent. At first I simply gave him a pass on this as being an “obvious” consequence of the bill, but then some of the news stations produced footage (prior to passage of the bill) where Obama said the policies (people liked) would be “grand fathered”. Grand fathered is not a consequence.

    Lied is too strong of a word, but it appears that in the heat of the sale Obama made some statements that are simply not so. I give him a pass. I am not so generous with the congress critters that passed the bill.
