Pragmatic environmental proposals

“The beauty of these pollution-control measures is that over five to 10 years they pay for themselves in the developing world,”

The statement above was made by Drew Shindell, a climate scientist at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies regarding a list of proposed pollution-control measures he and other scientists claim are cheap, practical and easy to implement, even in third world economies. See the article at http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/17/science/countering-climate-change-without-waiting-for-a-payoff.html

Having seen several articles with similar proposals in recent weeks I am encouraged.
